You Planted Us A Family Tree
Coming from humble beginnings, Victor’s mother managed to raise eight children to become successful individuals. On her 85th birthday, Victor wanted to give his mother a custom song to show his love and make her proud of the family orchard she began.
“My parents came from humble beginnings in upstate New York, where many times they only had a nickel after paying bills. Neither went to college, but they somehow raised and created a family of individuals that have succeeded in their own paths.
There are eight of us (Betty, Jim, Jude, Matt, Mark, Mike, Mary and Victor) — five boys and three girls who have given our parents 16 grandkids and 30 great grandkids. We say it’s not a family tree, but a whole orchard.
Over the years, we’ve unfortunately lost both Matt and Mary. What remains is a loving matriarchal sister, an internationally respected veterinarian who is a lieutenant colonel in the army, a foreign language teacher of the year, an accomplished estate conservator, a lawyer and a creative software designer for Fortune 500 companies.
No matter where we live or the distance between us, there remains an unbreakable family bond and love that crosses all time zones, climates and continents.
It is all due to one 85-year-old woman who started it all, raised us and love us unconditionally.”
