We love a good proposal story, and the way Amber’s fiance asked for her hand in marriage is just too perfect! He took her completely by surprise, and now she’s surprising him with this original song for their wedding day.
 

 
“We actually first met at work 5 years ago. We both worked at Family Video, a movie rental store. We became friends and the rest is history.
 
He thought he was way out of my league but his sense of humor and his kindness really won me over. I’ve dated some real “winners.”
 
Mike is so great. He gives me a back massage when I’ve had a long day. We like to go running, go to concerts (all genres but he loves country), he enjoys making me dinner (his favorite thing to make is chili), and he’s great at taking care of our new puppy, Lela. We enjoy watching movies together, we’ve been on a dart league for 4 years now together, and watching football is one of our favorite things to do. The Green Bay Packers are our team!!!!
 
When Mike proposed, it was the one and only time he was ever able to surprise me. We do Christmas with his family usually in January and we went to his parents’ place. He has 4 brothers and there are significant others as well, so instead of buying a gift for everyone, we do a Secret Santa. His brother Jay got me that year, and he knows I am obsessed with penguins, so he bought me a really cute penguin tank top, penguin scarf, and then there were penguin “Russian nesting dolls”.
 
I thought, ‘These are adorable,’ and there was one separate from the rest, which held a jewelry box. I didn’t think anything of it because I knew Mike didn’t have me, so as I opened the box I assumed it would be a penguin necklace or something to go with the theme, but boy was I wrong. It was an engagement ring!!!!
 
I opened the box and said, WTF to my surprise … lol. Mike got down on his knee and I honestly don’t even remember what he was saying up to …. ‘will you say yes????’
 
I was crying because I was so happy and of course said yes!!! We are getting married August 18, 2017 and I want to give Mike, my fiance, a song for our wedding day that makes him smile and feel loved. I just couldn’t be happier with him. He is my other half and without him I would have nothing. He is my everything.”
