I’m Forever Changed
Adrianne, her sister and her brother-in-law are so close that they’ll pick up on each other’s expressions within just a short amount of time of hanging out. They’ve shared such a fun adventure through life together, so Adrianne surprised them with this one-of-a-kind song written just for them to surprise them on their fifth anniversary. Listen to their love come to life and imagine the surprise on their faces when they first heard their own custom love song!
“I have been planning a surprise party for my sister and her husband to celebrate their fifth anniversary. When they got married, most of the family including myself were not able to attend their wedding, so I decided to make their anniversary like it was their wedding day, but this time with all the guests present!
Since they didn’t get to have their “first dance” I wanted to surprise them with a special song for them to dance to. But I wanted the song to have details that only the couple knew, so I asked my brother-in-law to write something special, but I didn’t tell him what I was going to do with the information.
This is what he wrote:
‘From your colorful clothes to your colorful personality, you had me at “Hi” with your abundant generosity.
Your desire to serve Jehovah is overshadowed by nothing. With him in your life you’ve become to me more than a wife.
Your giddiness lights my heart, when it’s a little tart.
The way you love people is so very courageous. So much so I might call it outrageous. Some may think, “she’s too small to be strong.” But they’d be oh so wrong.
My weaknesses are made firm by your continual support. No cross training, weight lifting, running to and from each house, or electric gallop riding could’ve ever made me as strong as you have.
Of all of the vacations we’ve gone on, be it the dizzying South Carolina rendezvous, the semi- annual trip to Florida or the semi-annual sale trip to the mall, my favorite one is our staycation date nights with movies and pizza. Oh and don’t worry, Paris will come, just be patient please.
I’m forever changed when I look at a scone because I’ll feed not one but two birds and cast aside that stone. (She has such a positive attitude that she refuses to say “kill two birds with one stone” instead she says “feed two birds with one scone.”)
Your family has softened and supported me through thick and thin, and I’m blessed to be married to not just them but you. Darlyn, I love you. Happy 5th!’”
